as long as与 even since than区别

1. as long as 意思是“只要，既然，和...一样长”，例如：
1）As long as you do that, then the rest is kind of simple and easy.
只要你做到了这点，接下来的就顺其自然了。
2）As long as you're writing them, please say hello for me.
既然你正写信给他们， 请你顺便替我问候一声吧。
3）This ruler is as long as that one.
这把尺子和那把尺子一样长。
2. even since than 没有这种用法，一般常用作“even since”，意思是“自从，甚至自...起”，例如：
1）We've been friends even since we met at school.
自从我们在学校熟悉以来一直是朋友。
2）In China scholars have been respected even since times of Confucius .
在中国自孔子时代起学者就一直学到尊敬。
