英语中SINCE和FROM同作为从什么时候开始,二者用法有何区别

from用于说明某种动作或情况从什么时候开始，并不说明持续时间长短，例如：

She studied English from the age of three．

（她从三岁开始学英语。）

Since则表示持续至说话时刻的动作或情况开始于什么时候，通常与完成时连用，例如：

I haven’t been well since the summer．

（自从夏天以来我身体不怎么好。）

since: 从...以后; 从...时起，强调的是过去某一点之后，或那时和现在之间。
.They left town and haven't been here since.
他们离开了镇子，从那以后再也没有来过这儿

from: 用来表示做为起点的特定地点或时间,强调的是过去某一点。
.walked home from the station;
从家走到车站；
.from six o'clock on.
