This is the first time I wrote a monologue; It’s a Challenge for me. I tried to find an easy thing to describe. Because I have seen a lot of puppet shows and got much information before and it’s easy for me to describe a puppet, so I decided to be a puppet. I would like to convey a kind of sad emotion to the audience. In my opinion, sadness is one of the most important emotions. It can create something makes people feel moved. I always can get sympathy from a moving movie or play. In order to find inspiration, I 【watched】 some videos and 【read some】articles about puppet. At first, the puppet was colorful and popular, but it became old 【with the passage of time】and nobody loves 【it】 after it 【has been】 used and performed a lot【.】 【since】the puppeteer produced it, puppet feels that the puppeteer is 【its】 “father”,but he abandoned the puppet, so the puppet 【felt】lost. This is the Synopsis of my monologue. I think that in 【the】puppet’s world, his owner and his performance iseverything for him. He 【becomes】 old and everyone abandons him, that’s the saddest result for him. At the end of my monologue, I wrote something that can express how the puppet wants to go back in time. Because in my monologue, the puppet represents sadness and 【despair】, so the voice can be deep and husky 【and the】 movements can be 【slow and quite】.
